The Wilson Hellaby Group can trace its history back to 1873 when the Hellaby family opened their first butchery in Auckland. Today, the Group is one of the largest suppliers of premium quality beef, lamb, pork and goat to New Zealand customers, such as supermarkets, butchers, restaurants and hotels. It also specialises in partnering with selected export customers to deliver the same high end beef and lamb to markets around the world.
The Group operates a beef, lamb and goat plant in Auckland that meets multiple food safety and export standards, including those from the Ministry of Primary Industries, EU, China, and USDA.
It also operates a modern, specialist pork processing plant in Hamilton, with a focus on delivering top quality, fresh pork to the New Zealand market. Together with our team of over 500 staff, we selected the motto “Great Meat, Delivered with Pride”. This means delivering the highest quality meat with the highest levels of service – something we have learnt over many years of supplying, and knowing, our customers.
